GUIDING PRINCIPLES
vision
We are a collective dedicated to building a more just, equitable, sustainable and liberated world through grassroots organizing, education and community action. Our vision encompasses a decolonial, queer, trans feminist, anti-capitalist, and anti-imperialist framework that centers worker, climate and social justice while promoting resiliency to capitalism, the climate crisis and fascism.
values
We seek to operate in solidarity and hold each other accountable in constructive ways. We work within an intersectional worldview that is trans-feminist, queer, anti-racist, anti-fascist, (dis)ability, and neurotype affirming. We value class consciousness and work to understand the class system imposed upon us by capitalism and colonialism.
We envision a world transformed by:
The dismantling of capitalist structures toward structures driven by workers and equitable wealth distribution
Universal access to fundamental human needs, including dignified work, stable housing, healthcare, education, and essential services
Indigenous sovereignty and liberation, including the return of land to Indigenous peoples
Environmental justice and ecological preservation including recognizing that non-human animals are colonial subjects impacted by anthropocentrism and the systems of domination we seek to abolish
Migrant rights and the freedom of movement for all peoples
Resistance against fascism and state oppression
Solidarity across movements and communities in pursuit of collective liberation
approach
We recognize that meaningful change requires both immediate action and long-term vision. Our work is guided by:
community-centered organizing
We prioritize horizontal organizing that builds power from below, supporting cooperative initiatives, union formation, and strategic direct actions. We believe in the power of collective struggle and recognize that liberation will come through organized popular movements working together.
Intersectional analysis
We understand that systems of oppression are interconnected, using “race”, gender, class, sexuality, nationality, and disability to divide communities. Our response must be equally interconnected, building coalitions that recognize the relationships between different forms of struggle. We will work to resist the deliberate polarization coming from elite politicians and capitalists, understanding that it’s meant to keep us fighting each other instead of fighting the oppressive nature of capitalism and imperialism.
Radical imagination
We maintain that dreaming of and imagining a better world is essential to creating one. We combine this vision with action, remaining open to diverse tactics while staying grounded in our core principles.
Group agreements
Our internal culture reflects our values through:

We actively work to decenter whiteness and supremacy culture

We maintain accountability to the communities we serve
We recognize that there is nuance within the communities that we serve
theory of change
Our work manifests through direct community engagement, including in-person activities, workshops, and gatherings, as well as through strategic use of social media and other communication channels. We make decisions through consensus, prioritizing transparency and collective input, while acknowledging that there are different levels of engagement within Revolve’s organizing structure.
Revolve’s structure
We have three levels of engagement:
(1) Organizing group (vetted members who are dedicated and committed to being active organizers and planners)
(2) Engaged community (vetted members who have joined us at events, engage in a private messaging platform)
(3) Broader community (newsletter, events, rallies, etc)
We recognize that as we grow, our structure may need to evolve.
